Heart of Nature – first Integrated hotel in Karlovac County
Minister of Tourism, Darko Lorencin, today formally handed decision on the categorization of the first integrated hotel in Karlovac County “Heart of Nature”.
A few months ago Ministry of Tourism has enabled the categorization of integrated hotel, allowing that way the professionalization of family renters and increase of the quality of family (privately owned) accommodation. “Heart of Nature” has an accommodation capacity of 18 buildings with a total of 35 beds.
“Joining private accommodation is one of the key activities of the national program, conducted with the aim of creating new and innovative tourism products to the destination, the development and improvement of the quality of the accommodation offers, joint approach to the market and market recognition, professionalism, private accommodation, increasing the availability of pre-and postseason and encouraging microeconomics, “said Minister Darko Lorencin during the opening ceremony.
An integrated hotel “Heart of Nature” also offers an outdoor heated indoor swimming pool, a wine tasting, etno museum, playground, bowling, indoor football, hanging bowling, table tennis, football, darts, grass volleyball, bicycle rental, equipment rental as well as marked trails for Nordic walking.
Family or private accommodation makes up about half of the total accommodation capacity in Croatia, and in line with the Tourism Development Strategy by 2020. it is necessary to allow the joining, increasing the quality and professionalization of family accommodation.
The first integrated hotel opened last month in Zagreb, while the first diffuse hotel was opened in Polača near Zadar. “Application arrive from all over the Croatia, which is proof that the private sector is very much interested. New types of integral and diffuse the hotel will allow, besides creating additional offers and content, new employment in the tourism industry, “concludes Lorencin.
Integrated hotel consists of three or more previously categorized and classified buildings in a village and must have a common reception hall, common room for socializing and other tourist facilities. Accommodation units can be rooms, apartments, studios and houses for rent.
